A growing archive dedicated to preserving the history of live music, music culture and the venues, bands and people that helped shape it.
What started as a personal interest quickly turned into a project. Over the years, I noticed that many memories, stories, flyers, posters and recordings from concerts and events were slowly disappearing. Valuable pieces of music history were often tucked away in attics, old photo albums, shoeboxes or forgotten hard drives. This website was created to help preserve those memories and make them accessible to everyone who shares an interest in music and local music culture.
The archive currently mainly focuses on Het Podium (formerly known as De Box), but the wider goal is to preserve and document the music culture that surrounded these venues and the people who made it possible. From local bands and visiting artists to promoters, volunteers and music fans, every contribution helped shape a unique chapter in musical history.
This project is still very much a work in progress and there is a good chance that you can help. If you have flyers, posters, tickets, photographs, audio recordings, video footage, newspaper clippings, magazine articles or any other material related to Het Podium, De Box, De Tinck or the wider music scene, I would love to hear from you. Every contribution, no matter how small, can help complete the story.
